For Alton shop front windows we would use laminate glass, which conforms to BS 6206. Large and/or thicker than normal panes will usually be a next day service, dependant on glass dimensions. Shop Fronts
Most shop front windows use laminate glass. Laminate glass is essentially two pieces of float glass bonded together by a PVU interlayer. The primary purpose of this glass is to maintain security and integrity upon impact, by distributing the force of the impact across the glass surface, while the PVU interlayer holds the glass panes together, creating a distinctive spider-web appearance.
